DPMC Mins/OIA team - answers needed on management
Te Hona Koe made this Official Information request to Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet did not have the information requested.
From: Te Hona Koe
Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,
The word on the street is that the staff turnover in the Mins/OIA team at DPMC is extremely high (and has been for way too long).
My OIA request is how does DPMC justify this expensive of a huge staff turnover in the Mins/OIA team to the NZ taxpayer?
Employment issues when it comes to the manager of the team are at fault.
The question is, what is DPMC going to do, in the future, to avoid such an outrageous expenditure when it comes to the staff turnover?
Please provide me with the standard HR questions used to recruit someone in a Manager/Team Leader role at DPMC.
If numerous complaints are made about a manager in DPMC, what are the typical processes that DPMC's HR team use to either (a) manager someone out, or (b) assist them in following DPMC values?
I /we are seriously concerned that DPMC allows staff in management positions to behave outside of DPMC policies/values to the point that many staff feel unheard and unsupported when bullied by management.
These questions NEED to be answered. Don't forget DPMC that you are funded by the taxpayer and you NEED to answer to us and stop with your constant excuses for your employees who bully their staff (such as the current manager of the OIA team)
Ta
Te Hona Koe

Please note DPMC, that your continuous, revolving door of recruitment in your Ministerials team over the past three years IS in the public interest. The tax payer is funding this recruitment deserves ANSWERS! There is nothing to relitigate, expect your negligent behaviour as a government (tax-payer funded) agency.
Things to do with this request
- Add an annotation (to help the requester or others)
- Download a zip file of all correspondence (note: this contains the same information already available above).

18(h) refusal! Disgusting! We will be making an Ombudsman complaint. Complete negligence and inability to apologise for the trauma DPMC's past manager (more like mangler) had on SO many staff. What a horrible agency you are.
