Value of Crown mining royalties

Dear Ministry of Economic Development,

I am requesting under the OIA information regarding the proposal (announced on 22nd March 2010) to remove 7,058 hectares of land from Schedule Four of the Crown Minerals Act. Specifically, I would like:

1) Estimates of the value of royalties from expected mining operations in the affected area.

2) Estimates of the net revenue impact of the proposal.

3) Correspondence within the ministry about the availability of cost estimates for this proposal.

4) Correspondence between the ministry and the Energy and Resources Minister about the availability of cost estimates for this proposal.
