Sir/Madam,
Under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act I request the following information:
A list of all positions (job titles) directly employed by the Council, and the number of staff in each of those roles.
Any briefings, reports, advice, transcripts, notes, correspondence, aide memoires or any other documents regarding any proposal to amalgamate the Council with neighbouring Councils.
I note that according to the LGOIMA response calculator on the website of the Office of the Ombudsmen, I should receive a response to this request on or before 25 June 2012.
I would appreciate acknowledgement of this request.

Your comments are noted.
The price I gave you is the maximum amount it would cost however it may
not take this long.
I have read through and attached the Ministry of Justice Charging
Guidelines. It is noted they advise the first hour is free but after that
the charge is $38.00 per half hour for staff time.
I originally quoted from Council’s fees and charges. Using our fees, with
the first 15 minutes being free, the charge for 2 hours is $96.25 (staff
time). Using the Ministry of Justice charges it would be $76.00.
However in addition to this it is appropriate for Council to charge for
photocopying in excess of 20 pages. The estimate given was not broken
down into staff time and photocopying. My estimate given also includes
photocopying. Again I have given you the maximum amount we would charge
for photocopying.
The information you have requested involves the search and retrieval of
information, collating, photocopying and transcribing. I therefore confirm
the maximum amount we would charge for this information is $96.25
including staff time and photocopying.

This clearly violates the Ministry of Justice's charging guidelines, which specify a free hour, and $38 for every half hour thereafter.
