On behalf of Hon Hekia Parata thank you for your email.  Your
correspondence has been noted and will be recorded.

All correspondence, including email,  is routed through our mail tracking

anticipate.

While the Minister considers all correspondence to be important, if it is
obvious that you are writing only to express a personal view your opinion
will be noted but a response beyond this acknowledgement may not be sent.

If you are inviting the Minister to attend an event you are organising,
our office will be in touch shortly.

Dear Minister of Education,

Could you please release ALL INFORMATION you have in relation to the decision(s) to close down or merge schools in Christchurch and the greater Canterbury region?

Please include any information that might support any claims of damage to school facilities or infrastructure, please include any information in regards to school roll numbers that might have played a pivotal role in your decision to close/merge said schools, please include any information that might have been received by you, from professionsals and experts in the engineering or building construction field(s) that would support (or for that matter, negate) the claim(s) that any of the buildings at any of the schools were unsafe, and please include ALL documentation you have sent out or given to the affected schools and to the media.

PLEASE RELEASE ANY - AND ALL - INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO THE CLOSURE/MERGER(S) OF CANTERBURY SCHOOLS!

Good morning Mr Lucas

We are about to reply to your emailed requests for information under the
Official Information Act, dated 13 and 15 October. We acknowledge and
apologise for the fact that the response is late, but you are probably
aware that decisions had to be made about the extent of release of
information that has affected a number of requesters.

As a result of that decision a substantial body of information has been
published on the Ministry of Education’s web site. You can find this
information at;
