Dear Ministry of Social Development,
Under the 1982 OIC (The Act) when applying for student allowance and declaring parental income, which is the most authoritative and actual definition of parental income?
1. A pay slip from a charitable organisation set up for IRD purposes showing a housing benefit for Tax purposes (not paid in cash) which is added on (eg. $1000) and subtracted on the same pay slip? or
2. An IRD Tax Assessment showing income ACTUALLY received into the household from salary and wages?
