I make a request for any and all information (documented or otherwise) relating to the decision to hire Mr Robert Hesketh.
Specifically, was the agency aware that he had previously been a District Court Judge who resigned from office in light of his conviction(s) for fraud-type criminal offending and his disbarment as a lawyer?
If the answer to the aforesaid question is yes, what process was undergone before he acquired the position?

If one believes the date on the letter it would seem the HRC transferred the request on the 29th of November and informed the Ministry of Justice of that fact.
What has happened after that is anyone's guess.

Thank you for your email of 28 August 2012.
On 29 November 2011 the Commission transferred your request to the Ministry of Justice.
I informed you that the Ministry of Justice had 20 working days from the date of receipt of the transfer to make a decision on your request.
If you have not received a response from the Ministry of Justice that is a matter for you to take up with the Ministry.
Once your request was transferred the Commission was no longer the agency responsible for responding to it.

Wow, this is some serious administrative delay. Took more than 9 months to transfer a request to the right Department. I'd be considering a complaint to the Ombudsmen, as this is well outside the statutory deadline.
