Dear Ministry of Health,

I would like to request the following information under section 12 of the Official Information Act 1982:

1. A copy of all OIA's received during 2012 relating specifically to Opiate Substitution Treatment (OST).

2. The number of people receiving OST, by year, for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012.

3. The number of people ceasing OST during 2012, by month, for reasons such as (but not limited to):
Treatment no longer required
Lost contact
Death
Emigration
Unwillingly removed

4. A copy of Ministry of Health Guidelines/Protocols/Memorandums for Health Practitioners regarding OST.

5. A copy of any internal studies/research conducted into opiate addiction in New Zealand by, or commissioned by, the Ministry of Health from 2009.

6. A copy of any briefing given to the Minister of Health regarding OST during 2012.
