I request a copy of your Health and Safety Policy and all procedures relating to your current operations at 22 Rosella Road.

I request a copy of any Health and Safety Policy and all associated procedures that you have developed to support your relocation to Atkinson Ave.

For context, I appreciate the documents pertaining to Atkinson Ave may be in draft and those are the documents I am seeking. If you have not prepared any such documents please state that you refuse my request on the basis such documents do not exist.

Dear Sita Selupe,

You are legally required to respond promptly and by no later than 24 April 2019.
Media interest is no grounds for not responding to an OIA request.
This legal breach reinforces the concerns I have about competence in how the Crown Entity you are the Chief Executive of is being managed. Should no response be forthcoming next week I will refer this matter to the Ombudsman.

The consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such
that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time
limit. Rise Up will require a further 20 working days to respond to your
request.

 

You have the right, under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act
1982, to make a complaint to the Ombudsman about this extension.

Dear Catherine Duncan,

I presume the documents exist or there would be no need for “consultation”.
The OIA time limits were in my view more than sufficient to send me a copy of these documents. No redactions should have been necessary as these documents should be available to parents and contractors on demand.

Given the duplicitous approach being taken here and your attempt to apply an extension to my request after the official response date had expired, both this request and my other request that you have not sought to extend will now be referred to the Ombudsman.

There is one document pending.  This contains Minutes of a meeting with
the Ministry of Education officials held on the 18th March 2019.
I await the final review of the Ministry of Educations feedback regarding
redactions.
