Dear K Roe,

 

Thank you for your email. You are correct that the Official Information
Act 1982 requires a response to be made within 20 working days from the
date a request is received. The calculation of this timeframe however,
excludes public holidays (in this case Waitangi Day) and a designated
summer holiday period of three weeks, which this year was 27 December 2018
to 15 January 2019.

 

Based on the date your request was received by the University (being
January 10th 2019), a response is due to you no later than Wednesday 13
February 2019. We will be in touch shortly with our decision on your
request.
