Information concerning repair and replacement of sportsgrounds signs

Karen Anderson made this Official Information request to Dunedin City Council

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Dunedin City Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Karen Anderson

Dear Dunedin City Council,

My preference is to receive the requested information by email.

The report of the Chairperson of the Dog Control Working Party states:
"Recently Task Force Green went to all 55 DCC owned playing fields and have repaired or replaced any damaged or missing signs."

By inspection the sports fields listed on the DCC website produce a total of 50. In addition there is no record of any discussion by the Working Party of wide-scale theft or damage to signs at sports grounds.

Accordingly I have been requested by members of the Dunedin Dog Bylaw Group to ask:
(a) The names and locations of the 5 parks that are not listed on the DCC website.
(b) Why it was considered necessary to visit every sports ground instead of only those reported as having damaged or missing signs.
(c) A list of sports grounds at which signs were found to be damaged or missing and whether they were repaired or replaced.
(d) The total costs of performing this work.
(e) Whether the costs have been funded from money received under the Dog Control Act 1996.

Yours faithfully,

Karen Anderson
