Good morning Jess,

I hope you had a nice Christmas and New Year break.   I am contacting you
to advise that the Department must extend the time available to make a
decision in your request, in accordance with section 15A(2) of the
Official Information Act.  This extension is necessary as consultations
are such that a decision cannot reasonably be made within twenty working
days;  Due to the Christmas holiday period, some individuals are not
currently available for consultation.

The Department’s decision will however be provided to you as soon as
possible, and by no later than 30 January 2019.

Please note that this extension has also been notified on FYI.org in order
to show the status of processing of your request, however the Department’s
response will be made to you directly via your personal email.

If you have any questions or feedback about your request, or this
extension, please let us know at [1][email address]

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision to extend the request timeframe.  Information about how to
make a complaint is available at [2]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or
Freephone 0800 802 602.

Kind regards,
