Conflicts of Interest
Ross Francis made this Official Information request to Department of Internal Affairs
The request was successful.
From: Ross Francis
Dear Department of Internal Affairs,
I have the following information request.
In July 2018, Dr Pauline Kingi was appointed to enquire into the Appointment Process for a Deputy Commissioner of Police. Did she declare a conflict or potential conflict of interest prior to or after her appointment? If so, what conflict or potential conflict did she declare? Was she asked to declare any conflict or potential conflict of interest? Did Internal Affairs receive any comments or concerns about Ms Kingi's appointment on or before she resigned her role? If so, what were the comments or concerns?
Please provide me with all records, including any declaration signed by Ms Kingi in respect of conflicts of interest, in relation to the above questions.
Yours faithfully,
Ross Francis
