Regarding Lead Maternity Carer (LMC)

A KS made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

The request was successful.

From: A KS

Dear Ministry of Health,

I would like to have the following information (if available under law).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1:-List of GP's in ( Wellington and Lower Hutt cities ) who work as Primary Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) in NZ. Please provide the name of GP and practice (if available).

I referred to an old news article which mentions "Ministry of Health principal maternity adviser Bronwen Pelvin said there were 28 GPs the ministry was aware of nationally who were acting as lead maternity carers."

Here is the link to the news article

https://www.odt.co.nz/regions/central-ot...

Also, I tried to find this information from "Find a registered doctor" section of the Medical Council of New Zealand's website. But I can only find the list of doctors with vocational scope "Obstetrics and Gynaecology" which means it is the list of specialists but I am looking for list of GP's as mentioned in the news article.

It will be great if this info can be provided.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yours faithfully,

A KS
