Does the Office of the PMCSA take precedence over the internationally peer reviewed recommendations of ESR?
Simon Fleming made this Official Information request to Andrew Little
The request was refused by Andrew Little.
From: Simon Fleming
Dear Andrew Little,
The Courts rely heavily on the scientific expertise of ESR. Megan Woods confirmed that ESR stand by their 2016 recommendations for acceptable levels of methamphetamine residues in property. The Tenancy Tribunal has recently advised that they will give precedence to the recommendation made in the Gluckman Meth Report, over those contained in NZS8510, which are based on the recommendations of ESR. What advice has been sought and what are the reasons the Minister believes the opinions of the Office of the PMCSA should take precedence over the internationally peer reviewed recommendations of ESR?
Yours faithfully,
Simon Fleming
