Weekly climate change briefings: June - August 2018

Alex Harris made this Official Information request to James Shaw

The request was partially successful.

From: Alex Harris

Dear James Shaw,

In January and March 2018 you released a series of weekly Ministerial briefings via FYI. You have since committed to publicly release those briefings, however it seems that they're being released after an interval of 5 or 6 months (April was released in September). I would like to review this material sooner, so I would like to request the following under the OIA:

* all weekly updates to the Minister of Climate Change received during June, July and August 2018.

I have not requested May because I expect it to be proactively released this month.

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.

With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ

Yours faithfully,

Alex Harris

On behalf of the Hon James Shaw, Minister for Climate Change, Minister of
Statistics, Associate Minister of Finance, and Green Party Co-leader, many
thanks for your email.

We will endeavour to provide a full response as soon as possible. Where
the issue lies outside the portfolios of the Minister, we may transfer it
to a more appropriate office for a response. If you are inviting the
Minister to attend to an event or a meeting, our office will be in touch
shortly.

While we consider all correspondence important, with all correspondence
carefully read and considered, it is not possible to provide a personal
response to every email which is received.

If the matter is urgent, please contact Dave Butler-Peck, Private
Secretary, on 04 817 8725 or [1][email address].

Many thanks again for taking the time to write to the Hon James Shaw.

Kind regards,

Hon James Shaw | Green Party Co-leader | Minister for Climate Change |
