Endocrinologists and psychiatrists providing Gender Dysphoria Services, CCDHB

P. Lamborn made this Official Information request to Capital and Coast District Health Board

The request was successful.

From: P. Lamborn

Dear Capital and Coast District Health Board,

In 2015 the Ministry of Health released a series of documents as part of an OIA by A. D. Tait <https://fyi.org.nz/request/3188-2003-rev...>, which included notes from a meeting of clinicians held on 30 April 2003. In these notes it is stated that:

> "There are 4 endocrinologists [at Capital Coast Health] providing some service to around 48 patients, psychiatry/psychology has varied over the years with currently 2 psychiatrists giving an initial or surgical appraisal, surgery available is orchidectomy, hysterectomy, and masectomy."

Please confirm, to the best of your abilities given the time elapsed, that the above quote was an accurate assessment of the situation in the Capital and Coast area at the time.

In addition, please provide the number of psychologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists, and other professionals currently working within CCDHB in this area, and an outline of how this has changed since 2003.

Please answer these questions in a searchable and accessible format.

Yours faithfully,

P. Lamborn
