Useage of honorific prefix
john luke made this Official Information request to Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
The request was successful.
From: john luke
Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,
first question, I understand that "His or Her Worship" is an honorific prefix for mayors, Justices of the Peace and magistrates in present or former Commonwealth realms. Can you please let me know if this is the case for New Zealand? E.g. do we address JP as His or Her Worship.
Second question is do you have a list of Honorific prefix that use or can be granted by different profession in New Zealand, e.g. Minister can be granted Hon. for life and PM can be granted Rt. Hon for life
Yours faithfully,
john luke
