Thank you for your letter. I'm specifically interested in the areas of Māori radio and television archiving.
For iwi radio archiving,
1. Can you please supply the first iwi radio archiving agreement between you and Ngā Taonga/Film Archive from the very start of the iwi radio archiving project (my understanding is that it was in 2012 or 2013).
2. Can you also supply the current iwi radio archiving agreement.
3. Can you also please supply all reports received by TMP from Ngā Taonga/Film Archive that relate to the iwi radio archiving project from the start of the project.
For Māori television archiving,
4. Can you please supply the television archiving agreement(s) with Ngā Taonga that were current in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 financial years. If the agreements are the same you only to need supply the 2015/2016 one.
5. Can you also please supply all reports received by TMP from Nga Taonga that relate to Māori television archiving between 1 January 2015 - 19 December 2017.

Firstly I'd like to thank TMP for the speed of your reply. You do far better than a number of other government agencies in acting on OIA requests - so thank you.
Thank you also for the information. Just a query, a number of 6-monthly reports are missing from the information released and I just wondered if it was because they don't exist? or they came via MCH rather than Nga Taonga? I'm happy to put in another request for them, but don't want to waste your time if they don't exist
By my count the following were missing
6 monthly- 1 Jul 2013 to 30 Dec 2013
End of year - 1 Jul 2013 to 30 Jun 2014
6 monthly - 1 Jul 2014 - 30 Dec 2014
6 monthly - 1 Jul 2015 - 30 Dec 2015

Thank you for your email and for your comments regarding timeliness which are appreciated.
To answer your question regarding reporting, the information released is all the reports we could locate on our physical and electronic files. Potentially there could be other reports that have been misfiled or mislaid but we have provided all that we could find after a thorough check. Please note that due to post earthquake issues, Te Māngai Pāho moved premises twice in the 2013-2014 period also which was a bit disruptive for physical files but the electronic records are generally a good back up.
The contract did get off to a slow start as there were a few technical difficulties at the beginning including establishing access to the Punga.net system. This led to a backlog of work in the first year or so which took some time to clear once the system was up and running.
