Can you please advise the agency or persons that would be able to advise on the oil pipeline stated above. As energy minister and government media representative on the issue it was assumed this responsibility fell with Minister Collins.

If further clarity is needed, expanision on any (listed party or otherwise) correspondence Minister Collins has had in regards to the oil pipeline rupture would be sufficient.

My initial request was sent when Judith Collins was the minister.

The question posed was:

I refer to your email of 31 October 2018 seeking information held by Hon Judith Collins in her previous capacity as Minister of Energy and Resources.

I am writing to confirm that, in accordance with Cabinet Office guidance, official ministerial papers and files may be retained by Ministers on leaving office, or they may be deposited with Archives New Zealand or other approved repositories. However, papers that Ministers do not wish to retain, and that are of no interest to Archives New Zealand, are expected to be destroyed through a secure document destruction process. They are not retained by the office.

On that basis, Minister Woods does not hold any papers or other information in scope of your request, and the office has no reason to believe such information is held by another Minister of the Crown or department or organisation. Your request is therefore refused under section 18(g) of the Official Information Act 1982.
