Can you please provide me with a list of the addresses for all current rateable residential dwellings in Feilding?
All I really need is the road number and street name for research purposes.
If need be I can specify the area down to the relevant Stats NZ meshblocks.

Manawatū District current has 13 689 rateable units, so while providing you the information is possible it will require a significant amount of work.
Please can you provide me details of what your research entails so, if possible we can narrow the search. Also what form would you like the data in.

All I was really looking for was the street addresses and names, and only in Feilding, which I assumed would be held in your rating database.
The research is for health planning and identifying people who aren't enrolled with a primary health provider.

My apologies, having checked with our team, under the LGOIMA act we cannot provide the list you require. We do make the information available on our website but it is on a property by property basis and we are prohibited from providing a bulk list of information.

The council appears to have declined my request because it would violate S28A(6)(b) of the Local Government(Rating) Act.
I've written to the Ombudsmen to clarify just so I know for future reference.
But in the meantime does anyone know what the law is in this situation?
