Please note that your request for information is being handled under the

1. Please supply the complaint details relating to our vehicle parked on
our driveway from 1 September 2012 to 3 October 2012 and infringement

The infringement notice was issued due to the vehicle completely blocking

Dear Jeff
Thank you for our telephone discussion on Wednesday 07 November 2012 requesting additional information to your LGOIMA request.
In the first instance, and further to Ally Pieromaldi's apology, please also accept my apology as I am unsure who received the reminder to which you refer in your email 07 November 2012.
Regarding the additional information which you requested, specifically : -
(1) The name/s of people who complained about the manner in which your vehicle was parked in Hamilton Avenue.
As explained in our telephone conversation, I cannot divulge the identity of any complainant and have referred this request to our Legal Services Unit. They will respond to you shortly.
(2) The number of complaints that the Parking Enforcement Team received about parking offences in Hamilton Avenue
From 01 June 2012 until today our office received three complaints about the P120 time limited area only in Hamilton Avenue.
These were on 16 August 2012, 06 September 2012 and 28 September 2012.
(3) The explanation provided by the Parking Officer to me was not true as it contradicts what was discussed with your wife on the day that the infringement notice was issued.
I have spoken to the officer about this allegation and he informed me that earlier in the day he had chalked the tyres of all vehicles parked in the P120 area in Hamilton Avenue. While he was busy chalking the vehicles, he noticed that pedestrians had to walk onto the road because the footpath was blocked by your vehicle. The officer also informed me that the pedestrians looked and gestured at him with the expectation that he would address the parking violation. Shortly thereafter the officer issued a infringement notice to the vehicle.
When he returned to Hamilton Ave later as a part of his normal patrol, he was approached by your wife who asked him who issued the infringement notice. The officer informed your wife that the ticket has been issued on complaint, referring to, but not explaining to your wife - the pedestrian experience and their gesturing to him earlier in the day.
After my second discussion with the officer, I have a appreciation that the message could have been better conveyed to your wife. I have addressed this with the officer and apologise for the misunderstanding.
I trust that I have answered your concerns appropriately.
Should you require any additional information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Shane Bruyns
