Dear Ms Cox

As you will be aware on 1 April 2017, the Ministry for Vulnerable
Children, Oranga Tamariki was established, for which Hon Anne Tolley is
Minister for Children.  The new Ministry incorporates a ‘whole of sector’,
child centred approach which will transform the way it works with
vulnerable children and young people, by working in partnership with the
wider social sector to achieve its outcomes. It is responsible for
ensuring vulnerable children and their families and whānau get the
services they need, and that agencies work together to take a broader view
of children and young people who are at significant risk of harm and in
the future.

As such your request will receive two responses, one from the Ministry of
Social Development and one from the Ministry for Vulnerable Children,
Oranga Tamariki.

However, as it stands your request will be refused in both instances as it
is considered to be overly broad. As such both Ministries are seeking to
refine your request, if you provide a phone number, that an advisor may
contact you on, to the following email [1][MSD request email] an
official will call you within the next few working days. Please note that
if you respond directly to this email with a contact phone number that it
will be published on the FYI website.

If we do not receive clarification or contact details from you by Tuesday
13 June 2017, both Ministries will proceed with providing refusals.
