Private travel insurance and ACC ERC
Lee M. made this Official Information request to Minister for ACC
The request was refused by Minister for ACC.
From: Lee M.
Dear Minister for ACC,
If a person who has taken out and paid for private travel insurance cover is injured whilst holidaying overseas, and that person is receiving ACC ERC at the time of the new injury , do they need to disclose the amount paid to them by the private travel insurer in respect of the new injury claim when they claim against ACC for cover of the new injury upon their return to New Zealand, or, at any other time?
Yours faithfully,
Lee M.

Dear Government Services,
My preference is to have the requested information provided to me at this website from where the request originated. Your decision to post the information to my address does not recognise or comply with my legal right under Section 16(1)(b) of the Official Information Act, and, none of the sub-clauses under Section 16(2) of the Official Information Act apply in this case. In particular, it is implausible that it would impair the efficient administration of the ACC and/or the ACC scheme to simply provide the information at this website which is irrefutably more efficient than printing it out, putting it in an envelope, paying the postage, and sending it to me from Wellington.
I firmly believe that the ACC's decision is frivolous and vexatious, and that there is no justifiable basis for not recognising or complying with my legal right as abovementioned.
Yours sincerely,
Lee M.
