Manukau Rail South Link
Ben Ross made this Official Information request to New Zealand Transport Agency
The request was partially successful.
From: Ben Ross
Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
This OIA is in follow up to the Third Main Business Case follow up you recently answered here: https://fyi.org.nz/request/5019-third-ma...
Specifically I would like to know the following in relation to the Manukau Rail South Spur currently sitting unbuilt (but designated in the Unitary Plan) please:
1) Has NZTA done a business case for the Manukau Rail South Spur?
2) Does NZTA support the Manukau Rail South Spur that would allow direct services from Manukau Station to Papakura and Pukekohe Stations
3) Does NZTA have idea of CAPEX to build the Spur and OPEX in terms of subsidy required to run metro services using that Spur
4) Does NZTA have a timeframe (if any) on when the Manukau Rail South Spur would/could be built, could it be done in tandem with any Third Main works from Otahuhu to Wiri Junction
I look forward to your reply
Regards
Ben Ross
