Dear Inland Revenue Department,
I am interest in the aggregate statistics of businesses GST-registered with the IRD that are not resident in New Zealand. This information does not appear to be in the publicly available datasets from Statistics New Zealand or from the IRD.
1. Confirmation of the total number of GST registered businesses in NZ including (2).
2. Number of businesses / entities GST registered in NZ that are not resident in the NZ.
3. Character of those businesses / entities (e.g. SME, individual, non-profit, corporate).
4. Residency of those businesses. (e.g. Australia, Indonesia, Singapore etc.)
I am specifically interested in 2016, but having this information for the last five tax years would be helpful.
Even a subset of this information would be useful if it cannot all be supplied. Thank you.
