Ministry of Justice
Dear Mr Collins
Thank you for your OIA request submitted through FYI website.
However, the Ministry does not have any reports linking application
details to order details and is therefore unable to answer your
questions. However, the Ministry can provide the following statistics
which you may find useful on the:
• relationship profile of applicants in parenting order
applications (whether the applicant was a grandparent, father, mother or
other), where it is recorded
• number of final full time day-to-day care orders by
relationship to the child/children.
Please note that this information is only available from mid-2005 when the
Care of Children Act 2004 came into force.
Could you please advise if you would prefer any of this information
instead?
Regards
Antony

Hi Zane
Thanks for your email.
Because the Ministry clarified your request within the first seven working days on 31 January, which you accepted, this replaced your original request and a response to this is due before 1 March.
See section 15 (1AA) of the Act. http://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/publi...
I trust this clarifies the situation.
Cheers
Antony
