From: Peter Jacobson
Dear Wellington Regional Council,
I really enjoy the yellow streetlamps of Wellington - they give Wellington a warm, friendly, beautiful feel in the evening and night.
I'd like to know your plan for replacement of the current street light bulbs:
- Have you already got stocks of street lights? If so, what colour are they?
- In purchasing more lights, will you take colour into account?
- What colour will you choose? How will you decide?
Yours faithfully,
Peter Jacobson

Attention Peter Jacobson,
In response to your questions:
I'd like to know your plan for replacement of the current street light
bulbs:
- Have you already got stocks of street lights? If so, what colour are
they? The Council does not hold stocks of street lighting replacement
bulbs.
- In purchasing more lights, will you take colour into account? We
currently do a mixture of like for like, and LED replacements. Once we
decide on a strategy for rolling out LED street lights, the
characteristics of the LEDs will no doubt be taken into consideration
- What colour will you choose? How will you decide? Refer response to
second bullet point
Thank you for your enquiry
Regards
Kevin Turner
