I am writing to request a list of the companies that the University has an investment in, in accordance to the Public Finance Act 1989 (section 65I - Investment of public money).

In response to your Official Information request of 7 April 2016, I advise as follows:
The University has the following investments.
1. Cash is lodged with trading banks in New Zealand into call or term deposit accounts.
2. The University owns shares in its wholly owned subsidiary University of Otago Holdings Limited.
3. The University owns shares in two companies spun out of the University – Pacific Edge Limited and BLIS Technologies Limited
