Reoffending rates for criminals deported from Australia

Can I please get the latest figures for New Zealand criminals who have been deported from Australia since they passed stricter laws in December 2014?

Can you break down the total number of deportees.
The number who have been arrested since arriving back in New Zealand.
A list of what they've been charged with.
The number who have been denied bail and given bail.

And any correspondence you or your office have had with your Australian counterpart and/or Peter Dutton, the Australian Immigration Minister.

On behalf of Hon Judith Collins, Minister of Police, I acknowledge your
request under the Official Information Act 1982 regarding:

·        The latest figures for New Zealand criminals who have been
deported from Australia since December 2014 broken down into:

o Total number of deportees
o Number who have been arrested since arriving back in New Zealand
o A list of what they’ve been charged with
o The number who have been denied bail and given bail

Your request was received in this office on 5 February 2016.

The information you have requested is not held by this office, but is
likely to be held by the New Zealand Police.

Therefore I am transferring your request under section 14(b)(i) of the
Official Information Act 1982 to the New Zealand Police for
consideration.
