From: CMC
Dear Ministry of Education,
Official Information Act Request
To: Ministry of Education / Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga
Under the Official Information Act 1982, I request copies of the following documents held by the Ministry relating to the report "Knowledge-rich curriculum: A review of the literature", produced for the Ministry by Learning First:
The contract, engagement letter, or purchase order between the Ministry and Learning First for this report, including the date it was signed/issued.
The total value of this engagement as recorded in that contract or purchase order (I am not seeking itemised rate cards or other commercially sensitive pricing detail — only the total contract value).
Any record (e.g. email, delivery note, project sign-off) showing the date the completed report was delivered to or accepted by the Ministry.
Any briefing, advice, or curriculum-development document that references or cites this Learning First report, sufficient to show whether and how it was used to inform curriculum work (including the New Zealand Curriculum refresh).
I am seeking existing documents and records, not the Ministry's commentary, analysis, or opinion on them.
I understand the Ministry has 20 working days to respond under section 15(1) of the Act. If you intend to extend this timeframe under section 15A, please notify me in writing within that period, with reasons, as the Act requires. If any part of this request is refused, please specify the section of the Act relied on for each item withheld, so I can consider seeking a review from the Ombudsman under section 28.Yours faithfully,
CMC
