May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have call for public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. A copy of your ad as well and pay rate. Also, how many applications you have received for each of the role from the public and how many you have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry of women etc for your role. How many you have shortlisted and how many you have interviewed.
Also, can I request to view the appointment letter if there is one sent to the Rowena Davenport and Gina Mills. I am happy for you to remove any relevant personal information.
Besides meeting fees, do they receive any other benefits, such as expense reimbursement (If so, may I request to view your expense reimbursement policy in relation to your board member), a laptop, ID card, phone, or similar provisions?

more closely connected with the functions of Sport NZ than with the
Ministry for Culture and Heritage. Therefore, we are transferring this

Kia ora John Luke,
I am writing to acknowledge that Sport New Zealand has received a partial
transfer of your Official Information Act 1982 request relating to recent
appointments to the Sport NZ Board.
The Ministry for Culture and Heritage has transferred the following part
of your request to Sport NZ under section 14 of the Act, as it is more
closely connected with Sport NZ’s functions:
“Besides meeting fees, do [appointees to the Sport NZ Board] receive any
other benefits, such as expense reimbursement (If so, may I request to
view your expense reimbursement policy in relation to your board member),
a laptop, ID card, phone, or similar provisions?”
We received the transferred part of your request on 25 May 2026. We will
respond as soon as reasonably practicable and no later than 23 June 2026,
being 20 working days after receipt of the transferred request.
If it becomes necessary to extend the timeframe for responding, we will
let you know before the due date and explain the reason for the extension.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
any decision made by Sport NZ on this request.
