Tena koe Andrew,

As per the below email sent on 13 April 2026, the follow-up phone
conversation on 8 May, and the E-Txt reminder sent on 15 May: Police
cannot release requests for personal information to an FYI website
submission. We require a personal email address, and valid ID to confirm
your identity before we can release this information.

The reason for this is that the FYI website does not permit personal
requests to be made via their site (it's in their terms and conditions for
use and submitting a request for personal information breaches these), as
the information gets published directly to the internet. The purpose of
the FYI website is for requesting information under the Official
Information Act only.

As we have not received the required personal email address and ID to
date, your request is being closed. Should you still wish to receive this
information, please respond to this email with the necessary.
