Dear requester,
I refer to your Official Information Act request to Health New Zealand,
which was transferred in part to the University of Auckland on 9 April
2026:
I am interested in the changes made to the Immunisation Handbook made in
March 2026.
Please supply all information leading to the changes made. This may
include:
- scientific evidence and analysis
- information supplied by vaccine manufacturers
- financial analysis
- briefings, presentations, notes
- decision documentation
- various other information
The part transferred to the University of Auckland is highlighted above;
the "decision documentation" leading to changes made to the Immunisation
Handbook in March 2026. As consultations necessary to make a decision on
your request are such that a response cannot reasonably be given within
the original time limit, the University has extended the time limit for
your request by 20 working days under section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA.
The new maximum time limit for the University’s response is 8 June 2026;
we will respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable.
You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
dissatisfied with this extension.
Yours sincerely,
Landon Watt
