Dear New Plymouth District Council,
Kia ora,
I am making a request for information under the Official Information Act 1982.
I request the following information:
1. Current Office Holders (Mayor and Deputy Mayors)
For the current Mayor and three Deputy Mayors/Deputy Chairs/Deputy roles (or equivalent titled roles), please provide:
Their annual base salary for the current financial year.
Any additional remuneration each receives specifically for their titled roles (e.g., additional allowances, role-based payments, meeting fees, committee chair payments, or any other role‑related remuneration).
A breakdown showing each component separately (salary vs. additional remuneration).
2. Previous Office Holders
For the previous Mayor and previous Deputy Mayor (or equivalent titled roles in the previous term):
Their annual base salary for their last full financial year in office.
Any additional remuneration they received for their titled roles, also broken down by component.
3. Clarification
If any remuneration is funded partly by the council and partly by an external entity, please identify the source and the amount.
4. Format
Please provide the information in table form if possible, or in any clear format your office prefers.
5. Time Period
If salaries changed partway through a term (e.g., due to Remuneration Authority determinations), please include the effective dates and amounts.
If any part of my request is unclear or would be easier to provide with slight adjustment, I am happy to refine it.
