I refer to your request of 12 January 2026. I apologise for the delay in
the University's response. The University's response follows.

 

"Please provide me the Salary of the current Vice Chancellor - I am aware
she is leaving but still provide the salary."

 

The Vice-Chancellor’s current annual salary is $827,000.

 

"Also provide me the salary of the COO, Salary of the previous General
Counsels, Salary of Dep General Counsels, Salary of the UOA Legal team
including advisors, solicitors and senior solicitors."

 

We understand you have requested that the University disclose the
salaries of its Chief Operating Officer, its former General Counsel(s),
its Deputy General Counsel(s), and of the other staff employed within the
Legal Services team.  We note that the Legal Services team is comprised of
a Copyright Officer, a Legal Adviser and a Legal Administrator, and so
providing general information about the salaries paid within this team
would be likely to allow the identification of individual salaries.  

 

The salaries paid to individual University staff are sensitive personal
information about those staff members, and that information is withheld
under section 9(2)(a) of the Official Information Act to protect their
privacy.

 

You have the right to make a request to an Ombudsman if you are
dissatisfied with the University's response.
