The information requested is withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Official Information Act, to protect the privacy of those persons. Although we recognise the public interest in transparency in relation to the University's expenditure, in our view the public interest in transparency around the pay of senior employees in the tertiary education sector is met by the State Services Commission's annual reporting, which is publicly available here: https://www.ssc.govt.nz/public-service-w....
