Enquiry: Which Date Is Used to Confirm Domestic Tuition Fee Status Following a Refugee/Protection Claim
Laura made this Official Information request to Ministry of Education
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Laura to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Laura
Dear Ministry of Education,
I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act 1982.
A person originally studied in New Zealand as an international student in a tertiary education programme, and later lodged a refugee/protection claim in New Zealand. When determining whether their tuition fees can be charged at the domestic rate, which date is usually used as the recognition/effective date: the date they expressed an intention to apply, the date the refugee/protection claim was lodged, or the course start date?
Yours faithfully,
Laura
