Extension of time to respond to request under the Official Information Act
– REF#93/2025.
I refer to your request for information, received by Massey University on
10 December 2025.
Massey University is unable to respond to your request within the normal
time limit set out in the Official Information Act, which is no later than
20 working days after the day on which the request is received.
Under section 15A of the OIA, I am notifying you that the timeframe for
responding to your request has been extended. The reason for this
extension is that consultations necessary to provide a full and accurate
response cannot be completed within the original timeframe, as key staff
are currently on leave through January.
The response will now be provided to you no later than Wednesday 11
February 2026, an extension of 7 working days.
The response date shown takes into account:
o Waitangi Day (6 February 2026)
You have a right under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act to
make a complaint to an Ombudsman about this decision. Information about
