The number of applications into the psychology internship programmes in
2022 for the Master of Clinical Psychology, Doctor of Clinical Psychology
and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice.

As requested this data has been provided to you below:

Reasons for unsuccessful applications fell into three broad categories:

 

 1. Ineligible – did not meet the entry requirements
 2. Insufficient places available in the programme
 3. Declined based on the strength of their application

 

Please note:

Applications for the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice have
to provide evidence of an acceptable internship training site. We receive
many expressions of interest, quite a few of which fail to produce a
viable proposal. When applications are "complete"--that is to say they
have submitted all the information necessary for an acceptance decision,
then the programme staff review them and make their selection, based on a
variety of factors including the quality of the applicant's academic
background and training and the suitability of their proposed placement
and field supervisor.
