I reside in New Zealand and am a New Zealand citizen.

I request the following information to be provided through a formal response.

Can I be provided the updated content of "Impaired driving"

I note that the previously published impaired driving instructions is detailed as phase 1, can I please be provided phase 2

Phase 2 was previously requested however it was noted that further amendments to legislation were required prior, and that a draft was in progress. These amendments have now passed their third reading and will commence no later than the 1st of April 2026, and it has been reported that the changes from the act are taking effect in December.

Additionally can it be noted if there are additional phases for this document planned for the near future?

If this can be provided with urgency that would be appreciated given these changes are coming into effect in December.

This information is required for drivers to be able to understand the process that will take place in real life rather than just the legislative wording, it is important that we can understand this prior to the amendments commencing.
