Dear Health New Zealand,
Please provide all correspondence (emails, documents etc) had in relation to the decision to allow Wellington Girls College to hold their prize giving ceremony at Michael Fowler Center last Wednesday (29 October) with consideration to the measles outbreak in Aotearoa New Zealand.
I believe this is in the public's interest to know what factors were considered if any, for the risk of the community at large.
Please see this article from RNZ where this information was revealed about the decision was made: https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/5776...
Yours faithfully,
Ty Kingi

Mōrena Ty
I have accepted a transfer of your OIA to Health NZ regarding the
information we had been given that made us decide to go ahead with our
Prizegiving.
Attached are the notes I made while on a call with Health NZ on 28
October.
They had notified me about our 2nd case an hour or so before.
This was a call when we were discussing some more details, who was
involved etc and I specifically asked about Prizegiving as it was due to
take place on the following day.
I was writing furiously as we talked so apologies for the scrawl.
I didn't get the full name of one of the people on the call but I thought
it was Helen, I may be wrong about that. Craig Thornley was the doctor we
worked with on this case and our subsequent case.
That's all I have
Ngā mihi
