Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act) to the Ministry of Health – Manatū Hauora (the Ministry) on 9 October
2025 for: 

 

“Could i please have the non-clinical report for the Pfizer vaccine that
is mentioned a few times here on page 19 on Nov 2020

Please refer to the published Official Information Act request on the
Ministry’s website, from page 111, at the following link:

were provided with a link to this information under a previous response
(H2025061333 refers). 

 

As you were advised in your previous response and as noted on page 115,
pages 6 to 57 of the report are withheld in full under section 9(2)(b)(ii)
of the Act, to protect information where the making available of the
information would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial
position of the person who supplied or who is the subject of the
information. I have considered the countervailing public interest in
release in making this decision and consider that it does not outweigh the
need to withhold at this time.

Dear OIA Requests,

I wish to discuss particular aspects of this information request.
The document you shared only has the table of contents and a couple of
pages. The rest of "The report  Pages 6- 57 withheld under section
9(2)(b)(ii) of the Act."

...which is : "protect information where the making available of the

position of the person who supplied or who is the subject of the
information;"

The Australian government already released their copy of this non-clinical
report

has a very similar table of contents of 56 pages.
Are you certain that releasing the NZ version of the report will result in
prejudice when the information from the Australian report is already in
the public domain?
