Dear Kaipara District Council,
I am requesting two dates.
The first is the date that a heads of agreement, or other written contract was first executed with Te Tai Tokerau Water Trust (or it's associated operating entities) for funding arrangements relating to the Te Waihekeora Kaipara water storage project at Redhill.
The second is the date a payment was first made to Te Tai Tokerau Water Trust (or its associated operating entities) by Kaipara District Council.

Thanks for this response.
I think the paper you published last week on your website on the 18th of September answers my question.
Could you please confirm the paper, it says the council agreed to enter the arrangement on the 27th of August 2025 but paid $1 million to the trust in April 2025 - is that accurate?

The amount of $1,000,000 plus GST was paid to Te Tai Tokerau Water Trust
on 20 April 2025.

I am now requesting a copy of the heads of agreement document that was executed on the 18th of March 2025.
Many aspects of that agreement are now in the public domain but if there are other commercial aspects that council will not disclose, I appreciate those will be redacted. The document you supply should show the parties, and a clear signed and dated execution section.
