Thank you for your recent reply- OIA 124845 Luke final response.pdf

 

I have noted that several positions have been expired and in a carry-over
situation for quite some time. In particular, Virginia Shaw, Louise Moor,
and Bridget Anne Dingle from the Immigration and Protection Tribunal had
their terms expire in November 2024. Additionally, there are two members
from the Real Estate Agents Authority and three members from the New
Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal in the similar
situation.

 

Could you please advise on the current status of the recruitment process
to replace these members? Have nominations been called for yet?

 

Additionally, could you please explain the term of appointment for
Community Magistrates? I’ve noticed that some are appointed through to
2047, while others have much shorter terms. What determines the length of
a Community Magistrate’s appointment?
