Attachment List of expiring appointments.docx
19K Download View as HTML

Kia ora John – further to your email below I can advise as follows…

Attached is an indicative list of the roles that will expire in the period
ending December 2026.  As you will note there are over 160 of them and to
break them down any further (for example applying the exact dates and
locations of the roles) would take a great deal of work as our system is
only set up to manage appointment outcomes.  Getting any greater layer of
detail requires a lot of manual work and I do not have the resource or
time available to devote to that.

Another aspect to note is that not all of the noted roles will necessarily
be advertised publicly.  The appointment process in any particular case
rests with the appointing Minister and in some cases, they may decide to
(for example) reappoint incumbents without going through a recruitment
process.

There are also a number of appointments that are either underway or
immediately pending that may not be visible on this list as they are in
respect of matters that are operating under carry over provisions within
the respective pieces of legislation while decisions are taken about how
to progress them.

Lastly as noted in my earlier reply to you, there are matters that arise
due to resignations or the establishment of new roles from time to time,
so this list should only be viewed as indicative.

Nga mihi

Wayne Newall
