    Tena koe,
I have found the reply to my request to be quite disingenuous.
As it is worded, it appears that I have asked for access to a video that was publicly available. This was not the case. The video had been publicly available, but was, by the time that I requested it, removed from Youtube. The video was only restored on Sep 8, 2025 after I requested access to it.
Naku noa, na,
Craig Innes

    Tēnā koe Craig,

Thank you for your further email.

The recordings that you had requested were previously available via
FaceBook but as you noted, were moved recently to YouTube to support
 accessibility.

Section 17(d) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 states that the information requested is or will soon be publicly
available. In this instance, the appropriate ground had been applied.

If you have concerns with the way in which Council has managed your
request or with the response you have received, you may wish to make a
complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman. You can find contact details for
the Ombudsman at: [1]Contact the Ombudsman | Ombudsman New Zealand

    Tena koe,
Both the Facebook and Youtube Hutt City Council videos were checked prior to making the request. Neither video were found on Facebook prior to the request.
The two videos concerned are relevant to a complaint lodged with the Ombudsman and copies of the videos were required to assist the witnesses to the meetings.
Naku noa, na,
Craig Innes.
