Dear Ministry of Health,
This is a request for information on all medicines imported into New Zealand by the Crown, in such a manner as to qualify for exemption under Section 32(A) of the Medicines Act 1981.
Please provide for each year since 2020 until now:-
i) the name of the medicine
ii) import date, specifying each date if there were multiple importations in a year
(iii) some form of descriptor that most accurately and appropriately describes the quantity of each import.

Is the September 2021 approval by Director-General of Health for the 775,000 doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 Comirnaty vaccine under section 32A of the Medicines Act 1981 the only section 32A approval for Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines by the Director-General of Health?
If there are other approvals please specify when approval(s) occurred and how many doses the approval(s) covered.
