o Please provide all information between yourself and any Ministers of
Cabinet from 7 May 2025 to 24 July 2025 regarding the FBI.

 

o When I say all information, this includes but is not limited too
emails, text messages, meeting minutes, memories and summaries held in
heads, reports, briefings.

 

o When I say between yourself and the other ministers, this includes you
and each person individually (one on one) as well as collectively (you
and more than one other person). This also refers to both your office
and their offices.

 

 

We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in
any event no later than Friday 26 September 2025, being 20 working days
after the day your request was received.

 

If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of
an extension of the timeframe.

I refer to your official information request dated 29 August 2025 for
information related to a visit to New Zealand by FBI Director Kash Patel.

 

Consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a
proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
As such, I am extending the timeframe to respond to your request to 10
October, in accordance with section 15A(1)(b) of the Act. I will endeavour
to respond to you sooner if possible.

 

Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to request the
Ombudsman investigate and review this extension.
