The Trans Pacific Partnership

J N Grieve made this Official Information request to Minister of Trade

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Minister of Trade should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: J N Grieve

To the Minister of Trade, Tim Groser

Now that the TPPA has been signed and agreed on by all parties, you have an obligation to release the full text under the Official Information Act.
As it is no longer in negotiation, there is no chance of prejudice, and section 6(a), 6(e)(vi) and 9(2)(j) can no longer be applied.

Please release the final document to the public. It is in the best interest of the people and the government to know what you have signed us in to. Details on previously cemented trade deals have been made available - this one should be no different.

Yours faithfully,

J N Grieve
