The University has published a ‘Student Grade Distributions Dashboard’ which provides a high-level summary of grades awarded across courses taught at the University of the past ten years. To protect student privacy, grade distributions are not shown for courses with low enrolment numbers. Information on how to access and use the dashboard is available here: https://uoa.custhelp.com/app/answers/det... This constitutes a partial refusal of your request under s 18(d) in respect of the publicly available information and under s 9(2)(a) in respect of any courses with low numbers of students, to protect their privacy.

The University does not hold final mark statistics. Grades, not marks, are the University's final measure of academic assessment. Marks are used for initial calculation of grades (see https://cdn.auckland.ac.nz/assets/auckla...) but grades may be subsequently changed for various reasons, such as aegrotat/compassionate consideration or academic misconduct. This constitutes a partial refusal of your request under section 18(g) of the OIA.

You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with this response.

For the above papers listed, please provide the following data for the year 2025:

(1) The final grade distribution for the paper (broken down by letter grade, e.g. A+, A, A-, ... etc.)
(2) The mean and median final marks for the paper (numerical)
(3) The number of students who completed the paper
